Sharks are one of the most feared carnivores in the sea. There are 365 species of sharks in the sea. All sharks are carnivores. A group of sharks and batoids eat almost anything, from fishes, crustaceans, mollusks, marine mammals, and others.

 

Many marine animals, from tiny clams to big fish, produce electric signals. Sharks and other ocean predators, including skates and rays, sense those electric fields. sharks (and other animals) have special organs called ampullae of Lorenzini that allow them to sense electric fields that other animals emit. 

Sharks have an innate ability to detect electric fields, useful for sensing the bioelectric activity of their prey. Researchers discovered that strong electric fields could repel these predators, most likely by overwhelming their electricity sensors.

 

room 11

Today we had the first day back from the holidays, we went to class and waited for our teacher she wasn’t at school but then the principal came into our class and said that our teacher was sick and we had to go to a different class me and my two other mates were waiting to get called and then close to the end the principal called my name to go to room 11 and then went t0 the library and grabbed a book to read for ssr then we went to assembly witch was like normal just what was on the school newspaper. Then we had a break and went back to class where we played Minecraft and did some math. next block we did some handwriting and played some more Minecraft then were at the end of the day that where I`m blogging.

Getting hurt

One holiday I was playing around on a trap at my nans, trying to do flips. At my nan’s, there were these stairs and I thought it was a good idea to make a parkour course. First I had to jump up to the highest stair then I had to jump up to this plank, then jump to another plank, and thats where I finish. I was practicing for a bit and making every jump, the plank was a bit scary though because if I missed my step I would fall like 2 meters into a palm tree that had a lot of spikes. The first time I tried it I made it easily. Then I was like why don’t I get my aunty to watch me she said she would come in 5 minutes so I kept practicing. 10 minutes later she finally came out and I was getting ready to start. I jumped up off the tramp then ran to the plank but then I missed my step and fell down face first into the bark and roled into the palm tree I blacked out for a second but then walked over to a stair and sat down in pain, Blood rushing down my face but then my dad comes out with his phone saying smile. 

 

Today

Today we had to kapa haka for te wiki o te reo Maori We started off with a couple practices of the run-through and what were going to do. The Karanga were doing a Karanga back and forward then me and my mate started the haka powhiri then we did a karakia The karakia was hakataka te hou then I did a mihi After that we did a waiata and then went to go get a kai

today

Today my friends and I were playing some basketball at break after our kapa haka practice at lunches. Me and my mates were playing some 1v1 one in and outs. In and outs are like 1v1 ones but if you lose you switch out with your other mate. After a little bit, we decided to play some masters and I had a long streak but then I got out and that was the end of my streak 🙁 But that was algs I got my streak back after a little while:) Have you played basketball at school with your mated

Mincraft

Today we were making a school in Minecraft for a class activity, We have to share later on in the week and we were just doing the last details like basketball courts rugby fields, and some other classes that haven’t been done yet. In our group, there are 4 people Ashlyn, Layla, Lachlan, and me, We all were stressed because we thought we had to share today and we had a couple classrooms to finish I was just mucking around trying to make a bus well they were riding horses. Basket ball

Today at school My mates and I were playing some basketball, with some other little kids. The little kids were playing pretty well but they were fouling us a lot. My mates and I were skilling them up and almost making them fall over but we couldn’t sadly.  We were making shots and so were they but then we fouled them on accident and then they said we couldn’t play any which was sad. Tech

Today I had tech, last week I had to weave but now Im in ICT. We first went into class and did the normal things like put our bags away and went into the class, we were allowed to choose what computer we would like to use. I and my friends were sitting next to each other. She showed us how to make a site. She then showed us this cool game that was 3d but sadly I forgot what it was called?

Filming

Today Whaea Donna came in to do some more filming. She gave us some feedback, we are filming about a day in a life of horis. The feedback was about how we just jumped to the principles offices without editing and showing the people where the characters actually are because it looked quite weird. Have you made a movie?

MOVIES

Today my group kept making our movie, our movie is about Maori horis. We are acting like Horis for our movie, all my seines are done and so are Callums but we still have to finish Pjs because it has to be 3 minutes long. I like our movie so far and I will probably post it when it’s finished. Have you made a movie
